Validated by the rains

One of the first reactions to seeing our equipment is why the hell would you build equipment out of 304 grade stainless steel. Or 316 grade stainless steel. Or 17-4 PH grade stainless steel.

The stuff costs up to 6 times more than regular steel. It's harder to weld. It's harder to machine, drill it or mill it. Wears through more knurling tools than mild steel would.

But over the week our equipment has taken a soaking.

Lots of rain. Lots of dampness.

But the equipment remains intact.

Just a wipe down and a coat of oil is all we do every week.

And that’s all we have to do next week.

And the equipment looks as good as it did the day we made it.

We don’t need to paint a thing. Just a little WD40 on the bushings and bearings. And everything moves just fine.

Simple materials, basic design, built to last and engineered to just take a hit and keep rolling without any damage.
